Since 1990, however, we have focused in particular on the development of autonomous \u201cmusic machines\u201d. All our machines are dynamic: sound and movement are in constant development. The <i>Krachtgever<\/i> is our best-known piece for its Golden Nica, received in 1998 at the Prix Ars Electronica, Linz. Other projects are <i>Cantan un Huevo<\/i>, commissioned by the Ives Ensemble, Amsterdam, in 2000 and awarded at the 29th Competition of Bourges, 2002, or <i>Aguas Vivas<\/i>, which obtained a mention at VIDA 6.0, Madrid, 2003 and was shown at \u201cWhite Noise\u201d, ACMI, Melbourne, 2005 and\u00a0 in \u201cEl medio es la comunicaci\u00f3n\u201d, El Tanque, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 2007. In 2009 a retrospective exhibition of their work was held at La Tour du Pin, France, curated by GRAME, Lyon. The same year they also premiered <i>Bang Spring Time<\/i> in Valencia. In 2010 this installation was used in the dance performance <i>Chutes libres de printemps<\/i>, created together with the French choreograph Carla Foris, premiered in Gare St Sauveur, Lille. <i>Bang Spring Time<\/i> was shown in an outdoors version at the Biennale Transitio in Mexico-City, 2011. In 2012 they premiered <i>Mirlitones<\/i> at the exhibition \u201cKunst Werkt\u201d in DordtYart, Dordrecht and <i>Wilberforces<\/i> at \u201cWinter Sparks\u201d, FACT, Liverpool. <i>Mirlitones<\/i> was shown in a new, improved form at Kidogo, Fremantle as part of the ICMC 2013 \/ Totally Huge New Music festival in Perth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Peter Bosch (1958) studied psychology at the Universities of Leiden and Amsterdam (1976-&#8217;83) and thereafter studied sonology at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague (1986-&#8217;87). Simone Simons\u00a0 (1961) studied at the audiovisual department of the Gerrit Rietveld Art Academy in Amsterdam (1980-&#8217;85).\u00a0 Since 1997 they work and live in Valencia, Spain.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From 1985, the beginning of our collaboration in Amsterdam, we have been involved in performances, concerts and theatre productions.
